After a 12 month mock-up at a Caterpillar engineering facility in Mossville, IL; global manufacturer Tenneco Automotive has gone live with a uniquely integrated implementationof FFD's Sequence Enterprise and Rockwell Automation's Production Centre Manufacturing Enterprise Solution. This integrated solution is scheduled for worldwide rollout in Q1 of 2011. Sequence will deliver real-time, detailed work instructions with a seamless integration to Production Centre in a single operator interface. This deployment is in support of a Tenneco-Caterpillar partnership aimed at reducing the costs associated with manufacturing sophisticated original equipment to reduce emissions and particulates from commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, buses and trucks. According to Bloomberg News , this collaboration with Tenneco has reduced costs 20 percent on some equipment. Read more in this article from the Lincoln Journal Star.
