Do you know Phil?

I’ve been meaning to ask, do you know Phil?  Phil is the guy at the high-tech manufacturing company down the road that knows everything about how to assemble, calibrate and troubleshoot the company’s high-tech products.  He has worked there since day 1. He knows everything about the history of every model, trains every new guy, handles all tough builds, travels to all the important customer sites for installations, and handles all of the tough customer calls.  When someone has a question about how to do anything, they ask Phil. In fact, the standard answer heard around the office to how to do just about anything is “Ask Phil.”  If Phil isn’t around, they ask someone “How would Phil do this?” Phil never takes a vacation, is very rarely out sick, and eats lunch at his desk every day pouring over emails.  Phil loves his job and is the kind of guy that is going to work at the company forever.
