MES Electronic Work Instructions
Updates in Real Time.
Your MES, Connected to Electronic Work Instructions. Sequence MESUltra integrates electronic work instructions directly into your Manufacturing Execution System. Operators see the correct, current instruction for their work order inside the MES interface they already use, with no separate login, no version hunting, and no risk of pulling up an outdated document. MES integration gives your shop floor a fully controlled, traceable production system, with every instruction current and every revision tracked from the source.
Process Control
How MES electronic work instructions work
When a work order is opened in your MES, MESUltra automatically retrieves the approved Sequence work instruction for that part number, revision, and operation. The instruction appears within the MES browser portal — accessible at the routing level, the operation level, or the individual step level, depending on your configuration.
When a new instruction revision is approved, it is immediately available to the floor. Operators working on existing work orders see the revision that matches their specific work order — providing both current instruction control and complete historical traceability.
What MESUltra delivers for your operation
Automated Access
Operators access the right instruction automatically — the MES calls it for them without additional clicks.
Role-Based Display
Role-based access controls ensure operators see only the instructions relevant to their work orders and authorization level.
Instant Updates
New instruction versions reach the floor the moment they are approved, with no manual distribution.
Smart Deployment
Cell and workstation-specific deployment shows operators only the steps relevant to their station.
Multi-Revision Support
Multiple instruction revisions are supported for operations running different work order vintages simultaneously.
Data capture and traceability within MES
With MESUltra, operators record measurements, electronic signatures, pass/fail results, and non-conformance notes within the instruction workflow. Every data point is captured in the context of the specific work order, part number, operator, and instruction revision — creating a complete device history record.
WebSequence supports 21 CFR Part 11 electronic signatures, making MES-integrated work instructions viable for FDA-regulated medical device manufacturers.
