MES Integration

Overviewenterprise mes logo 160 116

For organizations that have either a third party or in-house Manufacturing Execution Software (MES) solution, the Sequence MESUltra AddOn allows visual work instructions authored within Sequence to be deployed electronically to the shop floor as an integrated part of the work flow.  As opposed to offering options for accessing reference documents often authored in "office" solutions, work instructions are authored using the power and flexibility of Sequence Enterprise and presented to the user in an integrated web browser portal within the MES interface.  With the shared workflow knowledge between the MES system and Sequence (part number, revision number, date, etc.), the integrated work instructions are guaranteed to be the RIGHT ones!  Information can be accessed for an entire Routing, Operation or specific Work Instruction Step.

Operators have access to only the specific work instruction based on the current workflow information in MES.  Work instructions can be accessed for an entire routing, operation or particular work instruction step. This prevents costly shop floor errors.
Integrated electronic work instructions allow real-time updates to the shop floor when new versions are approved eliminating the human processes required to update, publish and store PDFs for online access.
With the shared workflow knowledge between MES and Sequence, the work instructions can be parsed out based on cell or workstation presenting the operator with only the information relevant to his particular task.  This saves the time associated with scrolling through a lengthy document to find the appropriate section or creating separate documents for each cell or workstation.
With the shared workflow knowledge between MES and Sequence via MESUltra, multiple versions / revisions of the work instructions can be presented on a workstation by workstation basis.
Integrated electronic work instructions provide a complete audit trail for compliance and traceability.
